Eat This Not That

When I think about making better eating choices every day, my mind takes me to a grocery store or a restaurant, where I have to make a decision, in a short amount of time. Researchers have found that having too many food choices feeds to overeating and consequently obesity. In my opinion, when we have too many options, we end up spending too much money. We justify buying more items when we have more choices.

I will not tell you exactly what brands of what foods to buy, but I will give you general idea on what ingredients to look for in a product, based on budget, accessibility, and nutrition. For example, if you have must choose one among fries, sweet potato fries, fried green tomatoes, and fried green beans, what would you choose? I personally would choose sweet potato fries. I can explain 😊

Here I give you basic understanding of major food categories we come across every day, such as grains, vegetables, milk products, nuts, etc. As you read this, if you would like to see information for other categories of foods, I will add them based on your interests.
